Well, I picked this up this afternoon. Holy crap this album is haunting. Especially the Earth album. There are some grim songs on there. Thrice has really, really, really, branched out on this project and I'm so entrenched. They wrote a sonnet for each element and placed it at the end of each cd. The two on here are stark. Asking questions without expecting answers and heartbroken all while doing it. The way that Thrice put together this project is impressive. It may be one of the best efforts my ears have heard. Yeah, that's right. It may drop Black Sails... to number 2. I don't even know what to expect on their next effort. I'm afraid this will be there last album, because if I ever wrote something this awesome, I'd call it a day and start a new band, cause nothing is ever going to beat it.

I can't believe you would speak such blasphemy in a public forum such as this. Just kidding, even though I am not much of a fan, maybe I could give it a spin someday. But seriously, come back in a year or so, and let me know if it has the staying power of a Black Sails.
hence the word, may. haha. time wil tell, but in reality it's different music for different moods. Plus this was concept album, different themes for each of the 4 discs. Black Sails was pure rage and awesome, and the fact that it was put togather in sucha short time with 2 new members to the band makes it even moreso.
