Change...

I just changed a link on my freeware list. I removed AutoMKV and put in AutoGK. AutoGK is contained in one executeable to install. AutoMKV needed 3 or 4 other things installed to work properly, and the link to an all-in-one was removed. If you want to convert a DVD to DivX or Xvid, AutoGK is perfect. AutoMKV is a bit more powerfull but for the sake of simplicity I felt I had to remove it. If they get the all-in-one back up, I may just add it back as it had a lot more options. There are some other video encoders that may also make the list (Handbrake and WinFF come to mind) but I'm still mulling it over as I don't think 3 or 4 encoders as really necessary. I'll see.

gotta love autogk. ever since i found that one, i haven't used anything else. the AIO install really simplifies things.

yeah it really is pretty sweet. AutoMKV is pretty much the same thing without decent all-in-one installer but it can do other codecs besides divX/Xvid. Hanbrake is pretty awesome too, but i have yet to mess with it for Xvid conversion... i do recomend it for ->iPod,iPhone conversions.

i used handbrake for a second, but from my experience and what I try to accomplish, autogk seems better for me. But thats just me and if i understood codecs and all a little better my opinion may differ.
